    • For iOS: In order to proceed with the setup, you must manually join the HS100's WiFi network. To do this, navigate to Settings-> WiFi on your smartphone and choose the HS100 WiFi network (called TP-LINK_Smart Plug_XXXX).

    • Here, we select the "Deco M5" wireless network for your house. Please choose "Join Other Network" at the bottom of the WiFi list if you are unable to locate your home network there. Then, manually type the SSID and password for your home network. After completing this step, your smart plug will be linked to your home network.
    • After this, you need to name your smart plug.
    • Now, you can customize the icon for the smart plug. We can select any icon from the list of 'Albums' of your smartphone.
    • Thereafter, click on the Smart plug icon, from which you can configure the advanced settings like Schedule/Timer/Away.
    • At last, tap on settings and enter the interface of Device Settings.
    • From there, click on 'Name and Icon' you want to edit and click on 'Device Info' to view basic information about the smart plug.

    How can a TP-Link switch or plug be added to the Deco network?

    • First, set up the plug/switch using the Kasa app, then link it to Deco's WiFi network;
    • Now, open the Deco app, choose Smart Devices -> Switches/Plugs/Outlets -> Smart Plug/Smart Light Switch (TP-Link), and then hit the Add icon in the top right corner.
    • Then, the program will say "Searching" when you tap "NEXT."
    • Now, the device may take up to 30 seconds to locate.
    • Then, tap on TRY AGAIN if it is not located.
    • If the gadget has been located, select its location by tapping NEXT.
    • Now, the device will appear on the app when you hit the done option.

    How can a TP-Link smart switch be reset?

    In order to reset TP-Link, look for the RESET button beneath the switch:

    • Power on the TP-Link wireless extender.
    • Use an ethernet wire to connect it to your computer.
    • Open any web browser, and in its address bar, enter the IP 192.168.0.254 and press enter.
    • Select the Quick Setup option and then click on Next.
    • Choose your geographical region and click Next.
    • Now, the TP-Link extender will search for wireless networks. This process usually takes a few minutes.
    • Then, once a list of available networks appears on your screen, click on your network name to select it.
    • When prompted, enter the wireless network’s password.
    • If you want to create a single or larger network, you can click on Copy from the main Router option. But, if you're going to make a different network, select the Customize option. Then click on Next.
    • Finally, a screen will come up that will let you review all the network settings. If they are all accurate, you can click on Finish.

    The TP-Link extender will reboot once, and then it can connect to the internet. 

    Connecting Using the WPS Button

    • First, to enter App-Config mode without losing the setup settings, press and hold for about five seconds or until the WiFi status LED alternately blinks amber and green.
    • Now, to return the switch to factory settings, press and hold for approximately ten seconds or until the WiFi status LED begins to flicker quickly in amber.
    • Be aware that returning to the factory settings will require you to reset all of your customized settings.
