    • Find the Reset button. The button is located on the back or at the bottom of your extender; there will be a tiny reset button. It's typically recessed to avoid accidental pressing
    • Ensure you have a pin, paperclip, or another tiny pointed item that could be inserted into the hole for reset.
    • Connect the extender to an outlet powered by electricity and then turn the extension on. Watch for the power light to change into a solid.
    • Use a paper clip or pin to hold the button for approximately 5-10 minutes. Feeling an occasional clicking sound when it is completely pressed is normal.
    • After holding the reset button for the specified duration, Release it. The extender will then reboot, and the power light may blink.
    • The Reset Process will take a while to complete. Let the extender run for several minutes for the process to be completed. The power light should turn solid once more.
    • When the extender sets itself, it will be restored to its default settings. It is now possible to connect directly to your extender's primary WiFi network, typically called "NETGEAR_EXT" or something similar.
